Jean Kim
Associate Director for the Empirical Reasoning Center
Jean is the Associate Director at the ERC. Her background is in architecture and urban planning and her work focuses on New York City, the politics of space and the built environment as a form of civic infrastructure. She is interested in exploring ways data, architectural drawing and GIS mapping can be used to investigate and uncover socio-spatial conditions in the city. At the ERC Jean is committed to helping students understand data-driven research and to teach students crucial tools that will help them to understand, interpret and change the world around them. Outside of the ERC Jean enjoys painting, playing guitar and practicing Muay Thai!
