About
Often enamored by data and technology and the conveniences they provide, we forget the biases embedded within them and the harms they can cause. This series will focus on the role of data in the fight for justice, thinking critically with and about the technologies that we use. Together, we will discuss the controversial role of data and tech in community organizing and social justice: data can help reveal and bring light to inequality, but it can also reinforce systems of power. Through our discussions, we hope to collectively consider if and how we can reconcile these tensions.
