Maddy is a sophomore at Barnard College planning to major in Urban Studies with a concentration in Anthropology. She specializes in ArcGIS (including ArcMap, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro). She is particularly interested in creative data visualization methods and engaging the humanities in data analysis. In addition to working at the ERC, Maddy is a research assistant at the GSAPP Center for Spatial Research on their Mapping Historical New York City project. She is also Editor-in-Chief of the Barnard-Columbia Urban Review.
