POSTPONED Workshop: Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection

Join the CSC and BCIT for a Halloween-themed workshop in recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This workshop will teach participants how to protect themselves from scary, unauthorized access to personal information and present methods for improving cyber-safety with examples from activism and cyberstalking. Participants will learn how their data can be connected to re-identify them and the people around them. This workshop also introduces a variety of tools and settings for devices and applications that participants can use to protect themselves, their communities and friends, and personal privacy. Prizes and treats will be awarded!

Led by Samantha Bhuiyan and Greta Shore, with assistance from Christine Whalley (Director, Information Security), BCIT.

This workshop is planned to take place in person (516 Milstein) and online. A link to join via Zoom will be sent to registrants shortly before the event.
